Ramadan Reflections

The month of Ramadan has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. However, each year it matters more to me. Ramadan is indeed about fasting and charity, but it is also a vehicle to immeasurable peace. It’s a time when you can truly self-reflect and experience mindfulness in its purest form.

The clarity and contentment I feel during Ramadan is hard to adequately articulate. My soul feels enriched and a strong sense of gratitude pervades every moment…

The past year has rapidly sped by. In April 2017, I had moved to a new city. When Ramadan 2017 came along, I was busy adjusting to life in a new place. I fasted, but didn’t get to experience deep reflection. This year, I have the time and it has been enlightening and indeed therapeutic to reflect over the past year.

As Ramadan nears its end, I look forward to embracing the next chapter of my life with continuous positivity and enthusiasm. These are qualities that I unashamedly cherish. I hope I never let go of them…

I love this piece of writing. Indeed, Ramadan is a blessing for those that get to experience it. I truly believe that if you truly reflect on the past few months in Ramadan, you could change your life by the next one.
